Tomato
Also known as tomato, tomato is an annual or perennial herbaceous plant of the genus Solanaceae. Native to South America, it is now one of the most important vegetables and fruits widely grown and consumed worldwide. The plant can grow up to 2 meters high, the leaves are pinnately compound or pinnatifid, the flowers are yellow, the fruit is juicy berries, the shape is diverse, the color is bright red to dark red, there are yellow and pink varieties. Rich in vitamin C, potassium, folic acid and antioxidant lycopene, good for health. Can be eaten raw, cooked or processed into tomato sauce, tomato juice, canned tomatoes and other forms. Lycopene and vitamin C contribute to skin health.
